The best bite of the evening may have been the compressed watermelon paired with goat cheese. A quick tip… the right number of dishes per person for a couple that shares when eating small plate style is probably between 1 and 3 depending on your appetite. Slightly dry burger with a dry brioche just doesn’t make for a great bite. No way to get your mouth all the way around this dish and even if you did you would have a hard time actually masticating until being able to swallow. Maybe they were trying to make it appear luxurious while simultaneously hiding the lobster from people who don’t actually like lobster? Who knows… Next up, short rib sliders on grilled brioche. For instance, take the lobster risotto: small pieces of lobster completely lost in a spicy rice-based dish. Unfortunately, some of them just didn’t work or seemed illogical.
